is the intent to create a town - Agartha - that promotes the principles of self-sufficiency, sustainability, and disaster preparedness, as well as encourages democracy and the involvement of the individual in local government. It would also serve as a launchpad for other projects with the potential to benefit humanity, and would work to advance scientific knowledge. Finally, it would serve as a bastion for free speech and gladly accept members from all races, sexualities, faiths and creeds.
Whereas all people have the right to self-determination,
Whereas we the people have been denied these rights with no proportional representation of our views in the law making bodies of the nation,
Whereas we do not consent to support the violence and wickedness of the nation's foreign or domestic policies, its corporate welfare, and its hatred of democracy and popular control of the government,
Therefore do we hereby seek to establish this charter for the founding of a community separate from the coercion and corruption of the United States Government and its agencies.
ARTICLE 1, FACTIONAL SHARES.
All members are to raise TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2000) in funds to be in hand by no later than MAY 1, 2012. [This means get off your ass now and get a minimum wage job for the next month or two.] This will buy one share in the project, required for participation.
Land will be subdivided into zones, and assigned by lottery to a share for the year.
Factions will embrace differences in styles and leadership, and offer a mechanism by which to organize labor and resource distribution within the project through voluntaryist means. Each factional militia may set its own rules and tax a certain amount of labor or money per year, offering voluntary collectivism to improve the land, without coercing participation.
Those who wish to remain independent of collectivist improvement efforts will be under no obligation to participate beyond payments on their equal share of the debt and property taxes and any other structural payments taken on voluntarily, such as internet payments.
Failure to meet these payments can result in disconnection of services or in cases of defaulting on land debt/tax payments will result in the loss of your share.
Factions will collectivize control of lands and coordinate labor in whatever manner they choose, proportional to the number of shares their ascribing members control. Thus, it is hoped that bad leadership will result in rapid loss of power and the formation of new competing factions. [Note - What if a faction wishes to devalue the land with destruction, or start projects that will negatively effect the value of the land? We may need our own standard of 'building codes' to protect the common welfare of all members.]
